October 21, 2008: SES shanghai office sent the first shift of trainees to Subsea7 Aberdeen Office
Engineers of SES shanghai office has arrived and started their 8-week technical training program in Subsea7 Aberdeen headquarters office.

September 17, 2008: The board meeting of SES - the JV of Richtech and Subsea 7, has been held in Shanghai
The chairman of the board Mr. Graham Sharland and the president Mr. Jeffery Measamer of SES together with Tao Qi and Ran Shen from Richtech side hold a SES board meeting in Shanghai.
The two parties discussed and finally came up with agreements about the accomplishment of the board articles and the progress of establishment SES Shanghai office.
June 5, 2008: FEED engineering of BZ34-1N is completed and detailed engineering for BZ28-2S-N is awarded
Both BZ34-1N and BZ28-2S-N platforms are located in Bohai Bay and owned by CNOOC. Both platforms are four-leg jacket wellhead platform with living quarters. The FEED engineering for both platforms include all disciplines and shall provide a total solution for topside facility and structural design of platform, jacket and foundation. The FEED design is completed at the end of April and the detail design for BZ28-2S-N is awarded.
June 1, 2008: Annual medical check up
An annual medical check up was provided to all employees to ensure employees to have a better understanding of their health condition. There are three different schedules for the annual medical check up to fit everyone’s need.
June 1, 2008: Richtech gradually formulated a complete training system.
A comprehensive training program has been started, the program includes pre-employment orientation training, brief Industry/Company introduction and systemic technical training, etc. All these activities provide a platform for the employees to improve their technical skills and develop professional attainment.
May 14, 2008: Richtech staffs are concerned with the situation in Sichuan earthquake zone and have donated over 20,000RMB on the first day.
Our foreign staff also contributed hoping to be able to provide some relief to the victims of Sichuan. One of our interns, Mr. Alisan, donated all the allowances to the earthquake victims of Sichuan. Meanwhile, Richtech developed a special column for staffs to obtain the latest news of the Sichuan quake-relief work inside office.
May 2, 2008: The new Richtech website is released
A new Richtech website is released. The new website is upgraded from the format to content from the previous one. The new website provides a more clear and professional information platform to our clients, partners and anyone who is interested in Richtech.
April 28, 2008: Richtech has formed a new joint venture - Subsea Engineering Solution Inc. with Subsea 7
Richtech has recently come to a partnership agreement with Subsea 7, the world's leading engineering and construction companies offering all the expertise and assets to Subsea Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) field development and operation. The newly founded “Subsea Engineering Solution” is registered in Aberdeen and with its chosen board directors will then establish subsidiary companies both in Shanghai and Houston. The company will be headed by Mr. Jeff Measamer along with its core team. After its recent (April 25) board meeting in Aberdeen, the board has decided on the location of this new company in China will be at 1326 West Yanan Road, Shanghai.
April 2, 2008: Richtech Project Management Consultant begins its business
The Richtech Project Management Consultant (Richtech PMC) began its business from March 1, 2008. Richtech has the solution to provide project services ranging from recruitment to managing EPCI projects. The PMS division headed by CEO Mr. Yan Zhou and COO Mr. EC Lee shows a promising future with several potential projects at hand. Due to the great demand, such division will soon become an independent entity to meet the global need. Richtech PMC with its global resources will provide cost effective and quality assured project services.
March 28, 2008: HZ 19-2 drilling rig platform modification project is completed
HZ 19-2 drilling rig platform modification is one of a large projects of Richtech in 2007, with CACT Group being its client along with time constrains, the project provided a great challenge to our engineers and management team. HZ 19-2 platform is jacket platform located in South Sea . The drilling rig platform modification mission was to upgrade the drilling rig capacity from the current 5,000 meters to 7,500 meters.
March 22, 2008: Lu Da 27-2/32-2 FEED design is completed and detail design is awarded
Lu Da 27-2/32-2 oil field is located in Bohai Bay and owned by CNOOC. The project includes three platforms. LD 27-2(WHPB) and LD 32-2(WHPA) are 4-leg well head platforms and LD 27-2/32-2(PSP) is an 8-leg process and storage platform. The project manager Mr. Wei Chen pointed out that PSP platform is installed by float-over method, and there is a huge oil tank with a capacity of 1.2768 X 104m3 on the platform and which is the largest in China. The design and oil storage tank and float-over installation give Richtech a great challenge. Currently, Richtech has successfully finished the basic (FEED) design and is moving to the detailed design stage. The detail design is estimate to take around six to seven months.
February 18, 2008: Richtech announced organization change
Richtech has restructured its organization; the new organization chart is posted in the website - About Us, Organization. The new organization includes three major sectors: 1) engineering and consulting services, 2) project management services, and 3) Administration and global marketing management. The new organization is aimed to build a platform to expand the business from engineering and consulting services to project management services, and provide more efficient assistance to our clients.
