Project Summary:
  • Design of mini FPSO to meet the marginal oil field development in Bohai Bay with a 10~35m water depth, 100,000~300,000 ton/year oil production, 2~3 years production life
  • Comparison of building a new FPSO vs. the remodeling an existing oil tanker
  • The Mini FPSO’s topside facilities should has technological flexibility to provide appropriate service in Bohai Bay Marginal Oil Fields and be economically feasible

Project Responsibility:

  • HYSYS simulation, PFD, UFD
  • Electrical load analysis, power generation & distribution system design
  • Mooring system design and analysis
  • Solution plan for connecting the simple platform to FPSO with floating hose, including hose unfastening method and wellhead platform power supply and control
  • Existing oil tank remodeling
  • Technical Feasibility study and cost estimate
